    Minors of any age may be legally employed as actors or performers in motion pictures, or theatrical, radio, or television productions in the state of New Hampshire. While the State requires all working minors under the age of 16 to obtain a “New Hampshire Youth Employment Certificate”, they defer to Federal Regulation where child performers are concerned. For minors age 16 or 17, employers are required to obtain on file a signed parent permission slip.

    While there are no specific Permits required for minors working in entertainment in the state of New Hampshire, all employed minors under the age of 16 must acquire a State of New Hampshire Youth Employment Certificate. Application forms are to be signed by your prospective employer and returned the school office where permits are issued.

    Minors age 16-17 years of age, unless graduated or having obtained a G.E.D. shall provide the employer with a written document signed by the parent or legal guardian, permitting the youths employment.
