A minor can work in entertainment, but only under certain conditions and with the proper paperwork completed. These conditions apply if the minor is working in Washington – regardless of where they live.

If there is ‘good cause”, employers can apply to vary the work hours for 16-17 year old minors. Click here for instructions on how to apply for a special variance.
